How to Take a Screen Shot on your Computer

I’ve been asked quite a few times recently on how to take a screen shot of an order. So I wanted to do a tutorial to hopefully help those that don’t know how.

I always advise everyone who shops at Kmart or Sears and is placing an order that promises points back, to screen shot their order in case something goes wrong. However, I didn’t realize that many people do not know how to do this. To be honest, until I started this blog I didn’t either! I would take a picture with my phone! But it can be so much easier!

Depending on the device you are using, your screen shot options may vary. So this is just a basic overview of a few of the options I have seen.

Option #1

Click it, and a copy of whatever is on your screen should be saved to a designated folder on your computer.

Option #2

Some make you push the Alt down before the PrtScn, others will make you push them at the exact same time.
Again, a copy of whatever is on your screen should be saved to a designated folder on your computer.

Option #3

Again, some keyboards make you push the FN or Windows buttons down before the PrtScn, others will make you push them at the exact same time.

Option #4

If none of those work for you, you can try downloading a Free Print Screen tool. This is actually the option that I use.

I downloaded the FREE Gadwin Print Screen Tool from the internet. (but there are lots of options to choose from)

I like this option best for a few reasons.
#1 – You can use it to select only certain parts of your screen. So if you don’t want the whole screen, only select what you do what to copy.

#2 – You have the option to screen shot the entire screen using the options as mentioned above still.

#3 – It lets you preview the photo before actually saving it to your computer. So if you accidentally took the shot, or if you don’t like how it looks you can cancel it before saving it.

#4 – Its FREE! And its SUPER easy to use!

Hopefully this helps some of you. If anyone has any questions please don’t hesitate to ask!!
